A warm hello to all our members. Over the past year, what an incredible journey and experience we have been going through. Born from the legacy of Halwell and Dumfries companies, passed down over 168 years, we have joined forces as HD Mutual to serve our members and their communities, with renewed vigour and commitment.
And while we may be a bigger company with stronger financial capabilities and opportunities, we’ll stay true to our heritage, it defines us, it grounds us. Our members are not simply policyholders, but the actual owners of HD Mutual, and though our members, we see a house that is a home, a barn as a shelter, a business and farm as a future. Hello to my fellow policyholders!
We are halfway through our first year as an amalgamated company and I have to say it has been an experience of a lifetime. Watching the two teams come together to work through all the endless details of harmonizing our products and systems, all the while keeping our day-to-day work flowing has been inspirational. We are trying to build of culture of collaboration and compromise, where we consider the many different facets of an issue, and not get too stuck on old ways of thinking. Being open minded and adaptable will be key to our success in this new organization, as we strive to make the best possible decisions that positively impact the most possible stakeholders.
Your insurance professional whether it be an in-house agent at HD Mutual or a member of our trusted broker partners, they play a critical role in the amalgamation and in your insurance experience. They continue to do an amazing job of advocating on your behalf. If you have any concerns or questions, please reach out to your Agent or Broker to provide feedback or to get their advice in relation to your insurance needs.
While we have a long way to go, we have come so far, and I would like to sincerely thank you all for your ongoing support trusting us with your insurance business as we go through this transformational time in our history.
